Best Friends Or More Chapter 10

  'Ichigo crashed his lips down on hers...'

       Rukia was in shock, one second she was about to speak and before she knew it Ichigo had kissed her! Actually he still was! her eyes were wide open from the shock and saw that Ichigo had his eyes closed tight hoping that she would respond. He wrapped an arm around her waist and brought her closer, an evident blush on his face. Soon Rukia's eyes got droopy and she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. When Ichigo felt her start to respond he pulled her closer and begged for entrance. As soon as Rukia gasped for air Ichigo took the chance and entered her mouth.

       She moaned at the warm, happy feeling that was taking her over. After what felt like hours they finally parted when the need for air became strong. As Rukia opened her eyes she saw a pair of amber staring at her intently. They leaned in again so their foreheads were touching, her arms around his neck nad her hands tangled in his hair and his arms around her waist. Both were panting hard as if they just ran a marathon. Rukia sighed a deep and happy sigh. She blinked once, twice, and met eyes with Ichigo. Violet met Amber.

       Ichigo was still gasping a little bit for air but mostly calm. All that could be heard was their breaths, the animals, and the wind whispering secrets to the trees. Other than that it was pretty quite and calm so Rukia decided to break the silence.

"Ichi-Ichigo why?"

"Why what?"

"What do you mean what...I wanna know why you kissed me..."

   Ichigo sighed, there was no turning back he needed to tell her now. He already kissed her and she kissed him back, 'Its now or never', he tought.

"Well Ichigo?"

"Ru-Rukia the reason I kissed you is...", a deep breath, "...I-I love you...", he murmered but since they were close he knew she heard. Rukia blushed, never in a thousand years would she think thaat he would confess to her of all people! Suddendly she smiled and started laughing. Ichigo panicked, he thought that she was laughing at him for the stupid confession. he backed away with a scowl and turned around about to leave until a small hand tried to wrap around his wrist, he turned around.

"Ichi were are you going?"

"Home."

"Why?"

"Well I just made a fool of myself in front of you so..."

"Wait...Do you mean by telling me you love me is making a fool out of you?!?"

"Umm..."

"Ichigo your an idiot!!!"

"Well you dont love me, do you?"

"Of couse I do!!", she said wrapping her arms around her mid-section. Ichigo wrapped his arms around her pettite form, layed his cheek on her soft hair, and let out a content sigh. Rukia smiled and relaxed in his arms.

"Hey Ichi"

"Yea?"

"If your lying to me about loving me I will personally kill you", she said jokingly. Ichigo laughed, "Dont worry...im not lying."

"Good"

     Soon they left the meadow hand in hand. After announcing that they were finally a couple they recieved a lot 'Congrats!' and 'About time!'s. And when Ichigo's family returned and Ichigo gave them the news Yuzu hugged him and Rukia, Karin gave them a nod in approvment, and Isshin shouted to the sky to Masaki on how their little boy was growing into a man. Soon the word got out at school and some people were happy for them but others werent. Especially their fan-clubs, but other than that life was going good for them.

  2 Years Later...

   "Rukia lets go your going to be late!", called Byakuya.

"Im Coming~!!"

       Byakuya sighed it was finally the day that his daughter, Rukia, was graduating from high school. These past two years have been hard for them since they were mostly worried about Hisana, Rukia's mother. Since she was better now Rukia relaxed and carried on with her studies.

"I swear if she doesnt come down in the next five minutes im gonna make her walk to her own ceremony..", he murmered to himself but was cut off when a purse smacked him from behind.

"Calm down Byakuya. This is a special day for her, she has to look her best. Especially for Ichi-kun", Hisana giggled. She was filled with joy when her daughter told her but on the other hand Byakuya was tryin not to kill the poor boy.

"Okay im ready!", down came Ruki with her hair grabbed in a bun, a few loose hairs falling out, with a light purple butterfly pin holding the bun together that contrasted a bit with her hair. She was wearing a purple dress that went down to her thighs and had a light brown ribbon tied around her waist. The bottom of her sress was puffy and ahd black polka dots. Her dress really brought out the color of her eyes and the black in it contrasted nice with her pale skin. In her arms she was carrying her graduation robe and hat.

      Byakuya and Hisana smiled. They were proud of her. Once Rukia heard a knock on the door she smiled and ran to open it. Hisana stayed behind to calm Byakuya down. On the other side of the door was Ichigo wearing a tux and like Rukia carrying his robe and hat. When the door opened he got a huge grin and hugged his girlfriend.

"Wow Rukia you look amazing!"

"Thanks Ichigo", she said blushing.

"Hello Ichigo", said Hisana warmly.

"Hi there Mrs.Kuchiki, Mr.Kuchiki."

    Byakuya glared daggers at him put them got elbowed in the side by Hisana. "Be nice!", she whispered yelled at him.

"Hello Kurosaki", he said through clenched teeth.

"Well shall we go?", asked Hisana.

     When they got there the four seperated to go to their places but Since Ichigo and Rukia had close last names they got to be together.

"Oh that reminds me I got you something."

"Ichigo you shouldnt!"

"Please I wanted to."

"Well....fine."

      Ichigo smiled and took out a necklace out og his pocket hte heart shaped pendant was a beautiful shade of violet and it shined in the light giving out little dancing rainbows.

"Ichigo its beautiful!"

"Just like you."

Rukia giggled, "Your so cheesy! But thats what I love about you."

      After the ceremony they all threw their hats in the air and cheered. The hell on earth called high school was finally over!! Everyone was happy and went back to their families. Ichigo's family got to the both of them first and Isshin tried to glomp Ichigo but got a punch in the face so instead he glomped Rukia. When Rukia's family got here Byakuya  coughed as a sign that he better let his daughter go or else but Isshin got the wrong sign.

"Byakuya you want a hug too! Well come here you shy one!"

     Everyone laughed at the scene and a vein throbbed at Byakuya's forhead. As they left the gates the young couple looked back and Rukia sighed, "I cant believe im actually gonna miss this place."

"Yea me too", he grabbed her hand, "but at least were together now."

  She smiled, "Yea together."

      And so they both left together hand in hand to take a step further in their lives......
